Return of Basics guy

I just got round to watching the pre-release iPhone Guided Tour movie and something was nagging me about the host. He seemed so familiar. Then it hit me. My mind went back 15 years to the day I opened my first Mac (a meagre LC II which cost about as much as a Mac Pro tower would today). As part of the welcome procedure there was a little show called Macintosh Basics featuring this guy on the left. Compare:



The multicoloured Apple logo sweatshirt has been superseded by a Jobs-like black Gap top, his eyesight isn't so hot, and I noticed he's even settled down with Mrs Basics, but no doubt about it, it's him.

I reckon Steve iphoned his friends at Pixar and said "Resurrect Jay" (for that was his name) "but fire up the RenderMan - this time we need him 3D."
